He did this on his own time on Facebook where only his friends could see it. If the school gets away with this then everything you put online anywhere can be used as an excuse by your employer to fire you. Think about that, bad day at work, a remark about it and you're fired. Why is it ok to jam down our throats that "Gay marriage is ok"!! Religion aside guys, you can't fight "Natural Law" A man and man do not FIT together.. First of all, the media and these none educated celebrities give off there opinions and people are suppose to look up to them.. Believe them. People give your heads a shake, wake up and stop bullying people into making them believe that homosexuality is normal. IT's NOT.. The teacher is in his right to teach to teach his support for the real meaning of marriage. IF he is not allowed to do this then you can't have it the way.

Harvey, All teachers have to sign paperwork saying they will not make disparaging remarks publicly. Many teachers have been fired for saying less on Facebook, he makes no difference.

I could care less if someone married someone of the same sex, it has no impact on my life. But that is just my opinion and what that person said online is their opinion and they are entitled to express it. Free speech is our right, whether you like what people say or not. But it is still a pretty dumb decision for a teacher to make. Employers look online to see what employees say and people constantly get themselves in trouble for it and this is well known. One way or another they will find a way to get rid of this teacher, if not from this then by some other excuse. No school wants to employ a teacher that makes their school look bad to the rest of the nation.
